Прогрессирующая резорбция мыщелкового отростка (ПЦР), также известная как идиопатическая резорбция мыщелкового отростка (ICR), является редким, агрессивным, дегенеративным заболеванием височно-нижнечелюстного сустава (ВНЧС). Наблюдается в основном у подростков и молодых женщин. Это состояние приводит к потере массы мыщелковой кости, уменьшению высоты ветви нижней челюсти, изменению угла нижней челюсти и окклюзионной плоскости, а также появлению открытого прикуса в переднем отделе.
