Over 25 years of clinical and research experience in TMD diagnostics and treatment. Formerly served as Assistant Professor and coordinator of research projects at the TMD Clinic, Department of Maxillofacial Surgery, University of Padova (2006-2016). Recognized internationally as one of the leading authorities in bruxism research and management.
International lecturer having taught at over 50 major conferences worldwide. Editor of the textbook "Current Concepts on Temporomandibular Disorders" (Quintessence Publishing, 2010), featuring contributions from 45 world-renowned experts.
DDS from University of Pisa, Italy. PhD in Dentistry from ACTA Amsterdam (2011), thesis titled "The Triangle: Bruxism, Pain, and Psychosocial Factors" under supervision of Professor Frank Lobbezoo. Specialization in Orthodontics from University of Ferrara (2017). Diplomate of the American Board of Orofacial Pain (2021). Author of over 300 publications in Medline-indexed journals with Scopus H-index of 40. Active member of the European Academy of Orofacial Pain and Dysfunction (EAOPD).
