Sviluppatore e principal researcher della tecnica Hydrodynamic Piezoelectric Internal Sinus Elevation (HPISE) (2008) — un approccio transcrestale, flapless e minimamente invasivo che combina vibrazione ultrasonica e pressione idraulica per elevare la membrana del seno senza finestra laterale. Uno studio clinico multicentrico su 250 seni mascellari trattati con HPISE ha mostrato un guadagno osseo verticale medio di 5,49 mm e un tasso di successo implantare del 97,2 %, con un tasso di perforazione della membrana del 2,83 %.
Autore di due testi in lingua coreana: Immediate Loading with Provisional Implants (Ji-Sung Publishing, 2002) e Clinical Applications of Sintered Porous Surface Implants (Gun-Ja Publishing). Autore di numerose pubblicazioni peer-reviewed su riviste di implantologia e chirurgia orale; membro dell'Editorial Advisory Board del Journal of Implant and Advanced Clinical Dentistry.
