TMDs have been slowly but surely wrecking the lives of our patients and yet the understanding of this disease condition remains unclear to us as clinicians and surgeons ... Helping these patients is a tough task for us.
Research says only 70% of the patients with TMDs get treated 70 % of the times .
the questions haunt us from diagnosis itself. ..and the predicament follows to the management part and in all this the suffering that these patients go through leads to loss of trust in us as clinicians or doctors ... and fear of pain is worse than the pain itself.
Yet this condition remains undiagnosed /ill diagnosed / ill treated most of the times leading to loss of work and huge loss of resources and impact of QOL of our patients.
