Penta Laminar concept for reproducing aging of teeth

The Bio-Emulation approach as written in structural analysis and visual synthesis defined the new bases to consider for replication of natural tooth structures with composite resin. The penta_laminar concept represents the ultimate implementation of this philosophy: analysing different ageing stages to build a dynamic shade concept that adapts to nature.

Simplified reproduction of aging of teeth

However, feasibility of application of this concept is compromised by it’s intrinsic complexity, not accessible to all clinical conditions. By analysing the key factors of natural structure’s ageing process and applying this knowledge to the material selection, it is possible to simplify techniques to make them approachable in all situations. From a bi-laminar technique to the penta_laminar technique we can learn to adapt our work in order to optimise the clinical outcome achieving cost-effective treatments to cover our patients needs and expectations.

Official Reviewer per Journal of Clinical and Experimental Dentistry (dal 2014) e International Journal of Esthetic Dentistry (dal 2017). Vincitore del Collegiate Merit Award dallo Spanish College of Dentists, 1st Region (2005), per contributi alla Commission of New Technologies. Docente internazionale con partecipazione a oltre 250 congressi, corsi pratici e dimostrazioni dal vivo in sei continenti. Pubblicato numerosi articoli in riviste internazionali peer-reviewed su odontoiatria restaurativa, fotografia dentale, applicazioni informatiche in odontoiatria e tecniche biomimetiche. Consulente e sviluppatore di prodotti per principali aziende dentali inclusi GC, Polydentia e Tokuyama.

DDS dall'European University of Madrid, Spagna (2003). Associate Professor nel Department of Prosthodontics presso European University of Madrid (2004). Formazione professionale in computer grafica, animazione 3D e produzione multimediale. Educazione continua livello master in fotografia dentale e odontoiatria estetica con principali esperti internazionali.
