Contemporary orthodontic practice involves the management of a significant proportion of adult patients who present with the need for an interdisciplinary approach to treatment. It is incumbent upon the orthodontist to have an understanding of various concepts as well as a working knowledge of other dental disciplines in order to best manage their treatment.
