This lecture will provide attendees with an understanding of the flaws of irrigation/disinfection studies when addressing a monoculture as the cause of persistent disease. Clinically, the hydrodynamics involved during irrigation of the root canal system will be addressed, as well as the balance between safely and efficiently delivering irrigating solutions to the apical third and difficult-to-reach areas, the understanding of chemical undesirable irrigant interactions and how to avoid them.

Ex President della Mexican Association of Endodontists. Destinatario del Samuel Seltzer Award per eccellenza in ricerca endodontica dalla rivista Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, Oral Radiology and Endodontology (2005). Docente internazionale con oltre 500 presentazioni in 38 paesi inclusi European Society of Endodontology Congress e American Association of Endodontists Annual Meeting. Autore di 84 pubblicazioni peer-reviewed in riviste endodontiche leader. Autore contribuente di "Irrigation in Endodontics" (2015), "Atlas of Endodontic Surgery" (2017), e "Endodoncia" (2011).
DDS dalla National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), Città del Messico (1989). Certificate in Endodonzia dalla Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, Boston, Massachusetts (1993).
