Descrizione

Chris Chang’s 35+ years of clinical orthodontic and teaching experience, combining innovation, biomechanics mastery, and practical teaching excellence.

This intensive online course provides a unique opportunity to learn directly from a world-leading expert, gaining insights that are immediately applicable to everyday orthodontic practice.

You will receive first-hand learning experience on highly demanded topics, including:

— Treatment of impacted incisors and canines in the upper and lower arches
— Advanced biomechanics for torque control
— Application of miniscrews and utilization of the infrazygomatic crest (IZC) and buccal shelf (BS) to treat extremely difficult cases
— Combining aligners with TADs for controlled, predictable treatment outcomes.

By joining this course, you will be equipped with practical tools, innovative techniques, and in-depth knowledge to confidently approach challenging orthodontic cases while improving treatment efficiency and predictability.

Lezione 1.Advanced Mechanics for Class 1 and Class 2 Treatment

— Advances in bracket and wire design to further enhance torque control and space closure, especially when paired with TSADs
— Simple and continuous light force system for Class 2 correction using bite turbos, Class 2 elastics, and infrazygomatic crest (IZC) screws
— Application of modern bracket and wire designs to enhance torque control and facilitate space closure in Class 2 treatment
— Integration of temporary anchorage devices (TADs) with aligner or fixed mechanics to improve efficiency and predictability in managing severe Class 2 malocclusions.

Lezione 2.Advanced Mechanics for Class 3 Treatment. Part 1

— The role of extra-alveolar buccal shelf (BS) screws in providing stable anchorage for the conservative treatment of skeletal Class 3 malocclusion
— Advances in bracket and wire design to enhance torque control and facilitate space closure in challenging class 3 cases
— Integration of buccal shelf (BS) screws and 3D lever arms with modern appliance systems to effectively manage severe Class 3 cases without surgery.

Lezione 3.Advanced Mechanics for Class 3 Treatment — Part 2

— The role of extra-alveolar TADs in achieving stable and predictable anchorage
— Design and placement protocols for TADs in Class 3 correction
— Step-by-step protocols for non-surgical management of severe Class III cases
— Clinical case demonstrations and long-term stability outcomes.

Lezione 4.Overview of the New Damon Ultima System™

— Introduction to the Damon Ultima System: concept and evolution
— Key features and innovations compared to previous Damon systems
— Improved bracket design and torque control mechanics
— Integration with light-force archwires for efficient tooth movement
— Clinical advantages: precision, comfort, and reduced treatment time
— Case example illustrating system performance and outcomes.

Lezione 5.Popular Question to Chris Chang

— Treatment without MARPE
— Arch development with the Damon System
— Treatment of Class III asymmetry cases
— Why choose the Damon System?
— How to simplify treatment mechanics.

Lezione 6.Hot Tips for Impaction Treatment

— Challenges associated with maxillary and mandibular impactions in orthodontics
— Application of minimally invasive techniques, such as VISTA, for the treatment of impacted upper and lower incisors and canines
— Advantages of using VISTA in preserving gingival tissue and reducing treatment duration
— Strategies for achieving precise and efficient outcomes in complex.

Lezione 7.Advanced Mechanics with Aligners

— TADs for challenging tooth movements such as forced eruption, mesialization, and molar uprighting in aligner therapy
— Application of TADs at different stages of aligner treatment to manage impactions and other complex movements
— Protocols for designing treatment plans that leverage the complementary strengths of aligners (pushing) and TADs (pulling) to simplify complex orthodontic cases.

Lezione 8.Class 3 Treatment Mechanics with Aligners

— The role of temporary anchorage devices (TADs) in facilitating complex tooth movements during aligner treatment
— Application of TADs to perform bodily movements such as forced eruption and mesialization that are difficult to achieve with aligners alone
— Use of TADs in cases requiring molar uprighting and impaction management
— Combining aligners and TADs for optimal treatment outcomes.

Lezione 9.Case Report. Analysis of Discrepancy Index (DI) and Cast-Radiograph Evaluation (CRE)

— Introduction to Discrepancy Index (DI): definition and clinical relevance
— Components and scoring system of DI
— Overview of Cast-Radiograph Evaluation (CRE) and its diagnostic value
— Step-by-step protocol for calculating DI and CRE in clinical cases
— Case presentation: practical application and interpretation of DI and CRE results.

Lezione 10.Class 2 Treatment Mechanics with Aligners

— How to diagnose Class 2 malocclusion and evaluate mandibular growth potential to guide treatment planning
— Indications, biomechanics, and limitations of the FOUR Class 2 treatment designs:

- Class 2 elastics
- Infrazygomatic crest (IZC) screws
- Mandibular advancement (MA) devices
- MA combined with IZC screws.

— Selection and application of the most appropriate Class 2 mechanics in aligner therapy to achieve predictable treatment outcomes.
