Invited Clinical Professor (Assistant Professor) in the Department of Periodontology at the Faculty of Dental Medicine, University of Lisbon (since 2017). Over 20 years of combined clinical, teaching, and research experience in periodontology and implant surgery. Expert in surgical and nonsurgical periodontal therapy, regenerative procedures, soft tissue grafting, aesthetic implant placement, full-arch immediate loading protocols (All-on-4), guided surgery, sinus augmentation, bone regeneration, and conscious sedation for anxious patients. Known for systematic team-based approaches to complex full-mouth rehabilitation integrating periodontology, implant surgery, and prosthodontics. Research focuses on long-term outcomes of dental implants, gradually anodized surface implants, periodontal regeneration, and guided surgery protocols.
Member of the Clinical Committee at MALO CLINIC Lisboa (2018-2019). Member of the Portuguese Society of Periodontology and Implants (SPPI, since 2019). Key Opinion Leader and Speaker for Nobel Biocare. FOR Expert presenting research findings at international conferences. International lecturer presenting at major conferences throughout Europe, Asia, and Americas on periodontology, oral rehabilitation, implantology, guided surgery, and conscious sedation. Author and co-author of multiple peer-reviewed publications in international journals and book chapters on implant outcomes, periodontal regeneration, and surgical protocols. Principal investigator on real-world studies involving large patient populations including 1000+ patients treated with specific implant systems.
