In 1992 received the Master of Science in Dentistry in Periodontology.

Has since cooperated with different research groups at projects related to guided tissue regeneration, guided bone regeneration and implant dentistry.

He is author of more than 30 papers published on peer reviewed magazines, co-author of the book Bone Biomaterials and Beyond where he wrote the chapter on periodontal regeneration.

Active member of the Italian Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, of the European Society of Cosmetic Dentistry, Certified member of the Italian Society of Periodontology, International member of the American Academy of Periodontology.

Funding member and vice president of the Bone Biomaterials and Beyond Academy.

Has been a professor at the Master of second degree in Periodontology at Sapienza University of Rome since 2000, at the master in Implantology and prosthetics of the University of Pisa since 2010.

3 English published books: "Get sharp" and "non-surgical periodontal therapy, indications, limits and clinical protocols with the additional use of diode laser " and an Atlas text: “Peri-implant diseases: Surgical Treatments, 2019 by Quintessense International ed, “Peri-implant diseases: Non-Surgical Protocols” on press, 2020. It has also released a DVD, in Italian and English, on the use of diode laser, associated with nonsurgical periodontal instrumentation.

He received his medical degree at Ferrara University (Italy) in 1978 and specialized in Dentistry at Genova University (Italy) in 1981. `Master of Science in Periodontology` at Boston University in 1984.

Active member of the Italian Society of Periodontology since 1987. Co-author in many articles and books.

Professor for the Periodontology Course at  Ferrara University from 1986 to 2000.

Teaching Professor on European Master Degree in Periodontology at Dental School University of Torino. Teaching Professor on  Master Degree in Oral Surgery and Patology in Parma University, focusing on GBR topics.

Director of  International Master program in Periodontology at Istituto Stomatologico Toscano (Unicamillus University Roma)
