Il suo focus clinico e di ricerca comprende chirurgia plastica mucogengivale, gestione dei tessuti molli intorno agli impianti, procedure di copertura radicolare e terapia parodontale rigenerativa.
È tra le ricercatrici più attive della scuola Zucchelli di chirurgia plastica parodontale ed è stata citata oltre 5.400 volte su Google Scholar. È prima autrice della revisione sistematica del 2024 EFP Focused Workshop sulle recessioni gengivali multiple. È coautrice di un capitolo del testo Implant Therapy, a cura di M. Nevins e H.L. Wang.
