Ortodontista e ricercatore specializzato in ortodonzia craniomandibolare, biomeccanica MEAW/GEAW e trattamento di malocclusioni complesse. Clinical Associate Professor presso Colombian Dental College (UNICOC), Cali, Colombia. Visiting Professor presso University of Cartagena, Colombia. Membro della facoltà di IDEA (Interdisciplinary Dental Education Academy), Foster City, California.

 

Oltre 40 anni di esperienza clinica e accademica in ortodonzia dalla laurea nel 1985. Formato direttamente sotto il Professor Sadao Sato presso Kanagawa Dental University per tre anni, diventando uno degli studenti principali di Sato e principali esponenti della filosofia MEAW/GEAW in America Latina. Ha completato PhD presso Kanagawa Dental University (2014-2017) con dissertazione intitolata "Morphological Characterization of Mandibular Lateral Displacement using 3D CBCT," stabilendo fondamento scientifico per diagnosi e trattamento di malocclusioni asimmetriche. Ricercatore nel Department of Orthodontics presso Colombian Dental College focalizzandosi su controllo verticale, gestione del piano occlusale e approcci di trattamento interdisciplinare.

 

Docente internazionale presentando in tutto il mondo su ortodonzia Gummetal, biomeccanica avanzata, controllo verticale in casi complessi, gestione del piano occlusale e trattamento interdisciplinare combinando ortodonzia con terapia occlusale e trattamento ATM. Membro della facoltà del programma triennale IDEA insegnando "Orthodontics Related to Function, Occlusion and the Cranio-Mandibular System" insieme al Professor Sadao Sato e Dr. Heike Kraemer dal 2007. Istruttore di master class insegnando applicazione pratica di archi Gummetal per trattamento non chirurgico di malocclusioni scheletriche severe.

 

DDS dalla University of Cartagena, Colombia (1985). Master of Science in Ortodonzia e Ortopedia Dentofacciale dalla Complutense University of Madrid, Spagna (1995). PhD in Ortodonzia Craniomandibolare e Medicina dell'Occlusione dalla Kanagawa Dental University, Yokosuka, Giappone (2017). Membro della E.H. Angle Society of Orthodontics, North Atlantic Component. Membro della facoltà di IDEA Academy. Tiene conferenze estensivamente in spagnolo, inglese e portoghese a conferenze internazionali e corsi IDEA. Specialista in biomeccanica del trattamento ortodontico usando archi Gummetal, consentendo controllo tridimensionale superiore del movimento dentale e correzione non chirurgica di discrepanze verticali e sagittali severe. Ha pubblicato ricerca su analisi CBCT di spostamento mandibolare e asimmetria.
