Oltre 45 anni di esperienza clinica in casi endodontici complessi, incluse procedure microchirurgiche al microscopio operatorio e gestione di anatomie canalari complesse. Formatosi presso la Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry (1978-1980) sotto il professor Herbert Schilder. Consulente ospedaliero per 15 anni specializzato in complicanze endodontiche.
Docente internazionale avendo insegnato in oltre 60 paesi in tutto il mondo dal 1985. Fondatore e presidente del Warm Gutta-Percha Study Club e direttore del Micro-Endodontic Training Center di Firenze. Caporedattore di Endo Tribune. Ha pubblicato oltre 60 articoli su riviste scientifiche internazionali.
MD dall'Università di Firenze (1973). Specializzazione odontoiatrica dall'Università di Firenze (1977). Professore assistente di endodonzia presso la Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, Università di Cagliari e Università di Brescia. Professore di endodonzia microchirurgica presso l'Università Federico II di Napoli. Autore del libro di testo in tre volumi "Endodonzia" e "Micro-Endodonzia Chirurgica" (Editore EDRA), tradotto in più lingue. Ex presidente della Società Italiana di Endodonzia (S.I.E.) e della Federazione Internazionale delle Associazioni Endodontiche (I.F.E.A.). Membro attivo della Società Europea di Endodontologia (E.S.E.) e dell'Associazione Americana degli Endodontisti (A.A.E.).
