– Aspects of JFO

– Proprioception and exteroception

– Concepts of JFO:


- Neural excitation

- Posture changing

- Therapeutic posture changing.


– The main peripheral stimulus:


- Periodontal proprioceptors

- TMJ proprioceptors.


– Concepts of therapeutic posture changing

– Physiological limits to change posture

Trained more than 2000 dental professionals worldwide in JFO methodology during 35+ years of educational activity. Professor at Orthodontics Specialization course at Itaúna University, Brazil. Professor at São Leopoldo Mandic postgraduate programs. Chair of scientific meetings including International Functional Jaw Orthopedics Congress in Lisbon featuring 33 international speakers.

 

DDS from Federal University of Minas Gerais, Brazil. PhD in Physiology from Federal University of Minas Gerais. Post-doctoral training in Brazil, Portugal, Turkey, and Greece. Specialist in Jaw Functional Orthopedics. Founding member of FIOFM (International Federation of Functional Jaw Orthopedics) representing multiple countries.
