Professore Emerito presso Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto, Canada. Ex Responsabile di Endodonzia (20 anni) e Direttore del M.Sc. Endodontics Program (22 anni). Una delle autorità leader mondiali nella ricerca sui risultati endodontici e endodonzia basata sull'evidenza.
Oltre 48 anni di esperienza clinica e accademica in endodonzia dalla laurea nel 1975. Ha ricevuto laurea DMD e certificato di specialità in Endodonzia dalla Hebrew University and Hadassah Faculty of Dental Medicine, Gerusalemme, Israele. Ha praticato endodonzia in Israele per 9 anni prima di trasferirsi in Canada. Nominato Professore Associato e Responsabile di Endodonzia presso University of Toronto (1992), stabilendo il primo e unico programma di specializzazione in endodonzia del Canada (1993). Promosso a Professore Ordinario (1996). Mantiene pratica privata limitata all'endodonzia a Toronto insieme a nomine accademiche.
Autorità internazionale sui risultati del trattamento, fattori prognostici e processo decisionale basato sull'evidenza in endodonzia. Focus di ricerca sulla guarigione endodontica e tassi di sopravvivenza, cavità di accesso minimamente invasive, design di cavità endodontiche contratte, reimpianto intenzionale, trapianto autogeno e sbiancamento interno. Ha pubblicato revisioni sistematiche storiche stabilendo standard basati sull'evidenza per criteri di successo endodontico. Ha servito nel Scientific Advisory Board di Sonendo Inc.
DMD dalla Hebrew University, Gerusalemme (1975). Certificato in Endodonzia dalla Hebrew University (1983). Ha pubblicato oltre 145 articoli scientifici peer-reviewed nelle principali riviste endodontiche inclusi Journal of Endodontics, International Endodontic Journal, e Oral Surgery Oral Medicine Oral Pathology. Autore di 11 capitoli di libri di testo. Ha presentato oltre 300 conferenze in tutto il mondo. Ha servito nei comitati editoriali delle principali riviste endodontiche. Destinatario di premi prestigiosi: AAE Louis I. Grossman Award (2008) per contributi di ricerca significativi all'endodontologia; W.W. Wood Award dall'Association of Canadian Faculties of Dentistry (2013) per eccellenza nell'educazione dentale; Award of Distinction dalla Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto (2014) per leadership eccezionale; AAE I.B. Bender Lifetime Educator Award (2018) per eccellenza in attività educative a tempo pieno.
