Calcified root canals are the ultimate test of an endodontist’s skill. Each case carries high risks, such as perforation and instrument separation, but with the right strategy, even fully obliterated canals can be treated predictably.
Hands-on training under direct supervision ensures that theoretical knowledge translates into clinical skills.
This hands-on course by Dr. Antonis Chaniotis will give you the knowledge needed and confidence to master calcified canals.
During the training, you will learn to:
— Understand the complexities and challenges of calcified canals
— Review and apply proven techniques to manage calcification effectively
— Navigate high-risk scenarios while minimizing procedural accidents
— Handle rare, extreme cases of complete canal obliteration with apical periodontitis
— Use specially designed files to penetrate calcified canals using the Buckling Resistance Activation Test (BRAT) technique
— Apply practical tips to improve predictability, safety, and clinical outcomes.
You will leave the course able to approach even the most challenging calcified canals with confidence, precision, and complete control, transforming high-risk cases into predictable, successful outcomes.
