Oltre 30 anni di esperienza clinica e accademica in odontoiatria restaurativa estetica. Focus di ricerca sui biomateriali dentali incluse resine composite, sistemi adesivi e materiali implantari. Ha sviluppato tecniche di stratificazione semplificate per restauri compositi estetici prevedibili utilizzando sistemi compositi universali. Pioniere nella promozione di compositi fluidi iniettabili e tecnica corpo-smalto per restauri anteriori. Mantiene uno studio privato a Curitiba, Brasile, dedicato esclusivamente all'odontoiatria estetica.

Docente internazionale avendo insegnato in oltre 40 paesi su restauri estetici, tecniche composite e selezione di biomateriali. Coordinatore di molteplici programmi post-laurea in odontoiatria estetica e restaurativa in Brasile inclusi programmi presso CETAO (São Paulo), SENAC (São Paulo) e ILAPEO (Istituto Latinoamericano). Ex membro della facoltà presso Federal University of Paraná per 10 anni. Ha pubblicato oltre 100 articoli scientifici in inglese, portoghese e spagnolo.

MSc in Biomateriali dalla Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul, Porto Alegre, Brasile (2002), tesi su fibre di vetro e polietilene per migliorare le proprietà meccaniche dei compositi. PhD in Odontoiatria Restaurativa dalla State University of Rio de Janeiro (2009), tesi su trasmittanza, riflettanza e fluorescenza delle resine composite. Certificato post-dottorato dalla New York University (2013) lavorando sull'applicazione del plasma su superfici dentinali e analisi della resistenza adesiva. Autore di libri di testo "TIPS in Esthetic Dentistry" (Artes Medicas, 2011) e "SHORTCUTS in Esthetic Dentistry" (Quintessence, 2017), entrambi tradotti in tre lingue. Coautore di "Just" (Quintessence, 2022). Autore di oltre 10 capitoli di libri. Membro del comitato editoriale di Journal of the Brazilian Society of Aesthetic Dentistry e International Journal of Brazilian Dentistry.

Dr. Marco Maiolino, graduated in Perugia’s University in 2001 with highest honors (110/110 cum laude),he is active member of SIDOC ( italian society of restorative dentistry) , ), followed a lot of perfection courses in particular in the field of endodontic, restorative and periodontics topics. He started to work with the aid of a surgical microscope from 2006. Founder together with dr. Pasquale Venuti of the “tomorrow tooth “ group for dental education with the aim to move dentistry toward a patient centered outcome. He works in a private practice at Siracusa , Italy as a general dentistry practicing all branches of dentistry.

Dr. Marco Maiolino is a general dentist practicing all branches of dentistry. He works in a private practice in Syracuse , Italy. He is the founder together with dr. Pasquale Venuti of the “Tomorrow Tooth “ group, a web based dental community whose aim is to change the focus in dentistry to a more sustainable practice and more patient oriented dentistry. He lectures nationally and internationally on topics related to restorative and prosthetic dentistry. He also write articles about dentistry life . User of magnification system from the beginning and microscope user from 2006. He graduated in 2001 with highest honors in Perugia university (110/100 cum laude).

Master of Science Degree in Prosthodontics.

President of the Brazilian Society of Aesthetic Dentistry. Board member of the Academy of Microscope Enhanced Dentistry (AMED), USA from 2008 – 2012.

Has lectured internationally about Esthetic Dentistry. Maintains a private practice since 1983, and has focused on microscope enhanced dentistry since 1998.
