Welcome to the only orthodontic study club in Russia held in the English language!

 

We are going to thoroughly revise the topic of temporomandibular disorders (TMD) with the experts in the filed, Dr. Sanjivan Kandasamy from Australia and Dr. Charles S. Greene from USA. We will outline the role of the orthodontist in the management of TMD.

 

As usual, we also are going to present and discuss several clinical cases.

 

IMPORTANT: The cost of participation in the event for residents is 6000 ₽.

The venue of the event is Moscow, Trekhprudny lane, 11/13, p.2 “Rebus”.

Oltre 27 anni di esperienza clinica, didattica e di ricerca combinata in ortodonzia. Esperto in disordini temporomandibolari e loro relazione con trattamento ortodontico, valutazione critica di affermazioni di ortodonzia delle vie aeree, protocolli di trattamento basati su evidenze e approcci sistematici a malocclusioni complesse. Conosciuto per approccio scientifico rigoroso sfidando filosofie di trattamento non supportate. Ricerca focalizzata su TMD e ortodonzia, influenza di crescita craniofacciale su risultati di trattamento, relazioni occlusali e valutazione basata su evidenze di concetti ortodontici emergenti.

 

Fellow del Royal College of Dental Surgeons in the Special Field of Orthodontics (FDS RCS Edin, 2014), uno di solo 9 ortodontisti mondialmente con questa distinzione. Destinatario del P. Raymond Begg Research Award (2016), premio più prestigioso dell'Australian Orthodontic Society Foundation per ricerca originale eccezionale, riconoscendo sue contribuzioni a ricerca TMD, ortodonzia e occlusione (settimo ortodontista a ricevere questo onore dal 1980). Membro del Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MOrthRCS Edin). Fellow del Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in Orthodontics (FRACDS Ortho). Assistant Editor dell'Australian Orthodontic Journal. Revisore per American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, Angle Orthodontist, Seminars in Orthodontics, e Orthodontics - The Art and Practice of Dentofacial Enhancement. Editore di "Temporomandibular Disorders in Orthodontics: A Clinical Guide" (Wiley-Blackwell, 2015, co-editato con Dr. Charles Greene), primo e unico libro di testo completo su ortodonzia e TMD. Autore di numerose pubblicazioni peer-reviewed e sette capitoli di libri di testo. Docente internazionale presentando in Australia, Stati Uniti, Europa, Russia e Asia su argomenti inclusa valutazione basata su evidenze di ortodonzia delle vie aeree, gestione TMD in pazienti ortodontici e analisi critica di filosofie di trattamento non supportate.

 

BDS (Bachelor of Dental Science) dalla University of Western Australia (1998). BScDent (Bachelor of Science in Dentistry) dalla University of Western Australia. Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry (Orthodontics) dalla University of Melbourne. Doctor of Clinical Dentistry (Orthodontics) dalla University of Melbourne. Postdoctoral Fellowship presso Saint Louis University sotto mentorship di Dr. Rolf Behrents e Dr. Lysle Johnston. Insegnando presso UWA dal 2005, progredendo da Clinical Tutor a Clinical Senior Lecturer a professorato attuale.

 

Dr. Greene graduated from University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry. He has been involved for many years in clinical research and teaching in the area of temporomandibular disorders and orofacial pain. 

 

From 1965-1984 he worked in the College of Dentistry's TMJ and Facial Pain Research Center. From 1986 to 1995 he was co-director of Northwestern University Dental School's TMD Clinic. After returning to UIC in 1995, Dr. Greene has served as Director of Orofacial Pain Studies. He was a Clinical Professor in the Department of Orthodontics at UIC until he retired in 2018. 

 

He has published over 150 articles, book chapters, and abstracts, and recently was co-editor of several books about temporomandibular disorders.

 

Practising orthodontist who works part-time as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Orthodontics at the Sechenov University.

 

Dr. Yakoub teaches undergraduate students and orthodontic residents.

 

Orthodontist at Face Smile Center, a clinic specialised in orthognathic surgery.
