Programma
Unique offer from a leading expert in endodontics - a 3-day practical office course by Gianluca Plotino!
What will you gain by participating in this course?
You will learn theoretical aspects and gain hands-on experience in:
– Methods for effective use of CBCT and operating microscope in your practice
– Protocols for removing broken instruments and filling materials from root canals
– Techniques for removing old restorations
– Methods for removing fiber and metal posts
– Treatment protocols for various types of perforations.
Under the guidance of Gianluca Plotino, you will acquire practical skills that will help you become an expert in retreatment of root canals and endodontic treatment of teeth with complex anatomy.
IMPORTANT: The organization will make available to each student all the materials and devices needed to carry out the practical part.
Each participant must bring the largest possible number of extracted teeth, prepared in such a way as to put into practice all the procedures. It is suggested to bring participant’s own loupes if they already have.
PROGRAM
Day 1
Theory (9:00–13:30):
Introduction to the use of CBCT, operating microscope and ultrasonics
Learning objectives
The participant will be able to:
– understand the importance of CBCT in endodontic diagnosis and treatment planning
– practice on the use of CBCT and softwares
– understand the importance of operating microscope and magnification
– use the operating microscope in clinical practice
– Understand the application of ultrasonics, select and use the ultrasonic tips.
Removal of crowns and bridges, removal of posts, canal location and scouting
Learning objectives
The participant will be able to:
– select the correct instruments to remove crown, bridges, fiber and metal posts
– perform removal of crown, bridges, fiber and metal posts
– understand the anatomical problems in searching for root canals
– perform the scouting of complex and calcified root canals
– avoid errors in removal of crown, bridges, posts and canal location.
Practice (14:30–19:00):
Participants will practice on the removal of bridges, metal and fiber posts, location and scouting of missed canals on simulators and all types of extracted teeth.
Day 2
Theory (9:00–13:30):
Management of perforations
Learning objectives
The participant will be able to:

Practice (14:30–19:00):
Participants will practice the repair of perforations and altered anatomy, including ledges, open and resorbed apex in all different types of extracted teeth.
Day 3
Theory (9:00–13:30):
Management of broken instruments and removal of filling materials
Learning objectives
The participant will be able to:
– understand the importance of technology to remove fragments and materials
