It will be a one-of-a-kind chance to closely interact with Dr. David Sanz daily practice and his pursuit of excellence in Orthognathic Surgery and treatment protocols.
What to expect on Dr. David Sanz office course:
– performing orthognathic surgeries
– performing TMJ surgeries
– monitoring of functional rehabilitation of orthognathic surgery therapy
– analysis of clinical cases.

PROGRAM
1st Day
- Presentation of the Instituto Português da Face and presentation of the week
- Presentation of clinical cases
- Clinical training: Consultations and 3D Planning.
2nd Day
- Surgical Day: Orthognathic/Temporomandibular surgery.
3rd Day
- Post-surgical follow-up appointments
- Post-surgical rehabilitation follow-up appointments with therapist
- 3D simulation of clinical cases.
Dinner with Dr. David Sanz.
4th Day
- Post-surgical orthognathic surgery rehabilitation with a therapist.
Tour of Lisbon with private driver.
5th Day
- Orthognathic surgery appointments and/or afternoon surgery (variable).
6th Day
- Clinical training
- Toxin and arthrocentesis follow-up for DTM.
7th Day
- Surgical Day: Orthognathic/Temporomandibular surgery.

Chirurgo orale e maxillo-facciale specializzato in chirurgia ortognatica, chirurgia dell'articolazione temporomandibolare e apnea ostruttiva del sonno. Cofondatore e Chirurgo di Staff presso Instituto Português da Face (IPFace), Lisbona — il principale centro di riferimento del Portogallo per la chirurgia dell'ATM e facciale (co-fondato con il Dr. David Angelo). Professore Assistente Invitato, Facoltà di Odontoiatria, Università di Coimbra.
Oltre 16 anni di progressiva specializzazione clinica in chirurgia ortognatica, disfunzione dell'ATM e chirurgia dell'apnea del sonno. Esegue l'intero spettro delle procedure ortognatiche bimascellari, osteotomie segmentali, genioplastica e chirurgia aperta dell'ATM, con forte enfasi sulla pianificazione chirurgica virtuale 3D e la riabilitazione funzionale multidisciplinare. Istruttore regolare nei programmi di fellowship in chirurgia ortognatica dal vivo presso IPFace — fornendo ai chirurghi visitatori un'esposizione pratica ai suoi protocolli clinici e alla tecnica operatoria.
Autore e coautore di articoli su riviste nazionali e internazionali e presentazioni a congressi scientifici. Relatore internazionale su chirurgia ortognatica, chirurgia dell'ATM e apnea del sonno.
MD (Stomatologia/Chirurgia Orale e Maxillo-Facciale). Specialista in Chirurgia Maxillo-Facciale. Fondatore ed Ex Presidente (fino a marzo 2018), Società Portoghese dei Disturbi Temporomandibolari e del Dolore Orofacciale (SPDOF); attuale Vicepresidente. Membro, Associazione Europea per la Chirurgia Cranio-Maxillo-Facciale (EACMFS).
