Programma
The International Master in implant dentistry is a program consisting in 4 mono-thematic modules with every module focusing in-depth on a single fundamental topic of implant dentistry.
By attending the complete four modules, participants will learn how to thoroughly master all aspects of implant dentistry; all the Modules offer theoretical sessions, hands-on training on animal and artificial models by the course participants and live demonstrations performed by Dr. Gori on a patient.
The 4 modules were scheduled with an approximate one-month interval, thus allowing participants to learn a structured method and to put into practice the concepts presented before delving into a new topic, without losing the program’s necessary continuity. Participants will also be able to appreciate beautiful Florence, the cradle of the Renaissance, in Spring, surrounded by blossoming nature, and in Winter, enjoying the Christmas atmosphere. At the end of the Master program the participants will receive a well-deserved certificate of proficiency in implant dentistry.
You can also participate in other modules of this training programme:
Post-extraction implant placement in the anterior and posterior area. Module 1 (October 28 - November 1)
Hard and soft tissue augmentation around dental implants. Module 2 (December 16 - 20)
Computer-Guided Implant Placement and Immediate Loading. Module 4 (April 14 - 17)
International Master program in Implant Dentistry. All modules
The price shown on the website is for one module. The cost of all four modules is €10,900.
What you will learn?
The International Master program in implant surgery is a course dedicated to all those dentists wishing to improve their skills and gather deeper knowledge in the following topics:
— Post-extraction implant placement in the anterior and posterior area
— Hard and soft tissue augmentation around dental implants
— Maxillary sinus floor elevation - crestal and lateral approach
— Computer-guided implant placement and immediate loading (total and partially edentulous cases - post-extraction cases).
Ample space is dedicated to hands-on sessions by the course participants on models and to interactive live surgeries performed by the speaker and analyzed in detail before, during and after every clinical phase.
Theoretical program
— Anatomy and physio-pathology of the maxillary sinus and nasal cavities.
— Crestal approach:
- Indications and contraindications
- Pre and post-surgical therapy
- Execution techniques: controlled fracture vs erosion of the maxillary sinus floor
- Grafting materials: are they really necessary?
- Post-operative complications: prevention and treatment.
— Lateral approach:
- Correct evaluation of “anatomical traps”:
Underwood septa
Alveolus-antral artery
Infra-orbital nerve.
- Pre-surgical diagnostic evaluation: intraoral radiographs, OPT, MSCT, CBCT
- Pre-surgical control of 10 critical factors related to the conditions of the maxillary sinus
- General and local indications and contraindications
- Pre and post-surgical therapy
- Execution techniques: tradition vs innovation
- Autogenous bone: gold standard among grafting materials? What are the alternatives?
- Timing of implants insertion and implants discovery in relation to sinus elevation.
— Intra-operative and post-operative complications: how to manage them.
